Skip is eager to learn and very smart. He has a great mind,
is very easy to handle and smooth gaits. He has nice big
bones and a great build on him.
Skip comes from the line of a well known stallion
Dixie's War Drum, one of the first all time black tobiano
favorites. He also has the highly promoted grandsire
Obsessed To Impress, who is a World Champion, 3X Reserve
World Champion with over 750 halter points, 159 Grand Champion and 37 Reserve Grand Champions.
Skip's pedigree is loaded with ROM earners, many World Champions
from halter, performance, trail, roping, English and many
of Reserve Grand Champions all on his pedigree.
His breeding fee includes Tobiano mares as well, so breed
your Tobiano mare to Skip and you may get a Homozygous baby!
He comes from a good working line and also has some halter
horses on his sire's side. Skip is out of a mare that has
Thoroughbred on the bottom of her pedigree, so he can produce
some height, speed and agility.
You are
more than welcome to come visit with Skip, and get a feel
for his disposition. This a mellow laid back stallion that
you will love!
Skip was in training with Gary Long in Fallon, NV. He was there for 6 months. He did
wonderful. Gary started him in basic reining. He is very lite and stopping on a dime.
I sent Skip to Mary and Jandee
Scott of Red Bluff, CA. Where they are training him to run barrels. He was there for 3 months. He really didn't like
it to much so brought him home early.
I put him in with a cowboy/team roper in Paso Robles, CA. He has been
gathering cows, sorting on Skip. He says that Skip is a very handy horse for never been around cows before. He also has
been tracking the Hot Heels on him, says that he has TONS of natural talent, would make a killer heel horse. Has no problem
with the rope at all. He says that he is very bridley and is a very nice ranch/cow horse!
